y splitter

Hello fellow 4x4ers. I have two batteries (separate to the car starter battery) in the tub, one fixed the other 'portable' which I run my fridge off via Anderson plugs, alternating between the two when one runs low. My question is can I use a Y type splitter to run from each battery to the one...
