Central Highlands 4x4 Club

Club Description

Our Club

The Central Highlands 4x4 Club was formed about 10 years ago by a group of people interested in 4 wheel driving

and the great outdoors. Since then we have been steadily growing and currently have about 20 members consisting

of Singles, Couples and Families. As a club we promote a forum for the exchange of ideas and the involvement in

activities associated with the ownership and operation of four wheel drive vehicles.

Central Highlands 4x4 Club is an affiliated member of Four Wheel Drive Victoria (FWDV) and actively support safe and responsible four wheel driving.

Club Trips

The club organises at least one trip a month led by a volunteer member. Trips vary from a Day Drive or Overnight

Trip through to Long Weekends and Week Long Trips. Our travels in the past include trips to The High Country,

The Otways, Simpson Desert and surrounds, Moreton Island, Cape York, Kakadu and Tasmania whilst also spending

time discovering areas close by like Tallarook and Mt Disappointment. If you are an inexperienced off-roader we

can offer help and guidance. Whatever your skill level, vehicle capability or preference we have something for you.

Vehicle / Membership Requirements
All members are required to carry a fire extinguisher, have ambulance cover, suitable vehicle recovery anchor points,
suitably rated snatch strap and bow shackle (min 3.2T), a basic first aid kit and a UHF radio.

If you don't have access to any of these items you can speak to a committee member or a trip leader to make

alternative arrangements.
