Campsite Description

Very nice campsite with a stream running through the middle, in certain seasons rafting is possible. Extremely nice scenery. Usually alot of other campers so generators and music has to be off by 9. Downside is the rangers at the park take their jobs to seriously and are always a pain to deal with. 

Lane Poole Reserve covers some 55,000ha of jarrah forest just 100km from Perth near Dwellingup. The Murray River flows through the reserve and offers numerous recreational activities from swimming and canoeing to white-water rafting.

Nanga Mill is the largest campground in the area and offers a variety of camping sites. Wood barbecues, toilets, bin and picnic tables are provided and water is also available.

The Nanga Brook, which flows through the campground, is ideal for swimming. It is especially good for children - with the appropriate adult supervision.

Best time to visit: All year round. This site is suitable for large groups or caravans and there is plenty of parking space available. Please show consideration to other campers.

Bookings do not apply at this campground. It operates on a first come - first served basis. Please contact the campground during peak holiday season for availability.

Camping fees apply to this campground and are as follows:
Adults: $7 per night
Concession: $5 per night. (A concession card holder is defined in the ‘more info section’).
Children: $2 per night. (ages 5 -15)

Special Conditions Any behaviour or actions that adversely affect the experience and enjoyment of other campers is not acceptable. All campgrounds and roads in the reserve are public access areas and subject to state traffic laws. There is a total fire ban between November and April (penalties apply). This is subject to change due to weather conditions. This ban includes the lighting of any fire or flame however the correct use of gas barbeques are exempt from this regulation. Fire wood is not supplied and must not be collected from within the reserve or adjoining state forest. (penalties apply) Firewood can be purchased in Dwellingup. Generators and music must be off between the hours of 9pm and 8am - please show consideration to other campers. Dogs are allowed but must be on lead at all times within the reserve.
