LAKE BATYO CATYO
Campsite Description
Lake Batyo Catyo is a shallow lake that forms part of a wetland chain, known as the Avon Plains Lakes. It is also a popular recreational location. When full the lake is not shallow.
The wetland system is home to many birds, including the brolga, an endangered species. It provides important nesting and breeding grounds, and is used by migratory birds.
Activities which the lake supports include bird watching, swimming, boating, fishing, bush walking and camping.
