Campsite Description

A fairly new camping location, I was told that National Parks did not renew the grazier's lease when it expired last year (2009).
There are no facilities apart from a few fire pits and tables.
It's a large area (several acres) but the bulk of it is covered in meter high "farmer's friends" (or "cobblers tacks" if you were brought up that way)
It's about a 40 minute drive from Capertee. The drive is bitumen for about 20k, then dirt the rest. You take a left turnoff a few hundred meters before Glen Davis onto a track which runs through private property. This last section is classed as '4WD only' but it's an easy track (another group had gone in with a Ford Fiesta) with one river crossing.

There are no facilities in Glen Davis apart from the hall adjoining the campground there that opens on Sundays which sells simple drinks and takeaway food. That campground has hot showers and flush toilets but it's on a rocky slope.
