hi all
planning a trip to yerranderie and was wondering if any one has been there lately and what would be the best way in there from sydney

Bugger. I would like to get back there. I spent 2 days at Yerranderie was fantastic was the only one there beside's to care taker.

hi all
we are back from our yerranderie trip, got back last night left sunday morning 5am from st marys and headed down to mittagong stopped and topped all the tanks up than headed on down to the wombeyan caves were we stopped and got the bbqs fired up and had breakfast and let the kids out for awhile than we headed up langs rd and than onto the fire range trail as limeburners is closed this rd was a 4x4 track than we turned onto the colong stock route and rd was smoooth recently graded few pot holes the main thing we had to watch was the wildlife that was on the rd so we were finaly at yerranderie went up and looked around not much to see but was a real nice relaxing feel bout the place we camped and monday morning we woke to a real dark looking day so it was time for breakfast and than the packing up all began and so did the rain as we all are packed up and ready to head on home via colong stock route we turned onto a little track as the boys were looking to play in the mud on the way back to as we got onto the unknown track they were very happy to see a huge mud hole and we continued down this rd were there was a fell more mud holes to be played in onto banshea forest rd than onto the kowmung river fire trail this was all 4x4 and we were headed towards dingo dell as we got onto the kowmung the girls had there first real drive in low range these hills are steep up and down and were a little slippery with the rain they drove all the way into dingo dell and had there first river crossing they decided to give us the trucks back as we headed into kanangra this track was very slippery with the rain and clay very steep hill climb and a tree half way over the track after a bit of a struggle with the prado getting up there we was on our way again the rest of the track was fine headed to oberon for a toilet stop and a very wanted coffee and headed on home .... fun was had by all was our first overnight trip so we are all still learning ...... Was a great first overnight trip looking forward to our next trip :D
