A proper SWAG is a piece of canvas. No hoops, zips, storage pockets for phones, mattresses or Mozzie mesh. A decent tent is a piece of canvas with a floor and walls. Most of today's so called swags are overweight one person tents.:D My tourer tents pack up smaller and you can live in them.:rolleyes:

Great tent

Hay guys
My family ( 4 of us ) and i use a cole lakeside extended.
It is a great tent and very easy to set up.
I usally have to do it with my 4 yrs old daughter and we get it up in around 15mins.
This time of year we also have the insulated carpeted tent floor from Rays outdoors, it is great.
Happy camping all.

This our tent, Oztrail Chateau 10. We've had if for about 5 or more years now and has been on plenty of trips. Bad points: heavy, takes about 1 hour to completely set it up, rarely fits back in the bag in came in. Good points: very roomy, comfortable, water proof, heaps of windows and vents, good quality canvas, cheaper than a camper trailer :):):)

Unfortunately Zoro, I don't have any pics of the inside. However, it has two sections at either end that do have zip up dividing walls, a section in the middle and an external section. The walls on the external section can be left out so that it is open. I am taking this to Skipworth later this year, so you will have to track me down and check it out. It will cost you a beer :D:D

Oztent

We have an RV4 Oztent.. Best tent we have ever had.. Also have the box on top to store it in.. Makes it even faster to unload and get up.. Couple of years ago we were in Flinders.. Camped in Arkaroola, which is a great place.. At the time a big convoy came in and set up camp.. They were obviously in love with Oztent as well.. See photo..

We have 2 Oz tents RV3 and RV4. Sometimes we set them up seperatly and sometimes we join them together with side panels etc to give a huge 4x2M covered area in the middle between them. Very versitle but pricey and bulky. Fast to set up if only using the tent and only about 5 minutes with side panels up as well. We love it but you need a roof rack to carry one.

i also have an rv-4 and highly rate it. although gets heavy putting it on the roof racks by yourself!!!!! also have front panel and deluxe side panels. was over on fraser for 11 days whilst raining heavily and tent was completely dry. wouldnt own anything else

Current tent is a SouthernCrossCanvas Ultimate trekker, We've had the usual run of dome tents, and started with a Freedom tent in 1985, which I still have (just in case)

I used a 2 man spinifex dome tent and a 3x3m gazebo for shading the stove and esky from the weather. Had the tent since 2006 with no leaks. Best $30 investment I've made so far.
