sorry guys no video, phone camera crapped it self, bit of a pain to install but that is what you get for doing a relocation + inline fuse, relay and wires run thru the cars original harness crossing the engine bay plus clean air line to the air box, but worth it i think, total 5 hours.

Didn’t take pics but I recently took my catch can out. My prado doesn’t have blow by. Catch can was empty after a long period of time.

Got in trouble by my mechanic friend for taking it out. He says he doesn’t care. Good it’s not catching anything but leave it in.

Guess what. I’ve re-installed a catch can to the Prado

I'm surprised you say your Prado doesn't have blow by. I've had catch cans in 2 diesel vehicles that, at various times, collected little blow by vapour, but always showed some evidence they were doing their job. If you have the stainless mesh filter type you may need to kick start the effectiveness of the filter by coating the filter with a thin layer of oil, as they collect oil from the vapour by oil condensing on other oil drops (that's my understanding). If you have the cotton filter type I've found (with a newish engine with little blow by) it can take 5-10,000 km before the filter soaks up enough oil for it to be draining to the bottom of the catch can and be obvious that the catch can is doing its job.

There is no almost no oil the hoses to start with. So it’s not just a matter of it being pushed through.

My engine oil still looks brand new.

I do my own changes ever 5k. Atvyat mark is when it starts changing colour

New radiator has the lines for a trans cooler. Not used in my case. Added lines running back to a little 20lt tank and a pump hello red neck heat exchanger ( not the best but better nothing )

I am going to wet blanket it .... now what if I was 5-0 .. will he get a ticket or do I not bother? I've been stared down twice by the 5-0 once at work with conduit diagonally cross the roof, because I was 2 lazy to fix it in 2 places. Second time is in a small town 5-0 house is right on the main drag, he near killed me with the looks trying to see how the rtt was supported at 60klm its almost look like magic alone.

Have you got the spare on the back? I would do the sides no hassles, except you don''t know until that its not going to pass a grumpy ole sarg awaiting his retirement while sitting on the verandah.
