Well the mighty Prado has had a huge makeover. All new bushes front and back, new alternator, starter motor, glow plugs, injectors, suspension, even new bash plates and lastly a new set of black alloy wheels.

Good choice of Locker and good choice of a rear one.
Few years back being a newby, I got an ARB front air locker. Upside was the inbuilt compressor under the hood which I use for airing up. In recent times I fitted an Eaton Locker on the rear. Easy to use, responds quickly, no probs and use it mainly for anything.
I must admit the front air locker works a treat so no complaints.
However if I did it over again, I would go rear first and it would be an E Locker.
P.S. Once a month I hit a dirt road ( like this morning after golf), I engage hubs, four high, four low, front lockers, rear lockers, run the winch out and back and give the CB a run as well. Just to keep em working and to know it's all OK for a trip.:).

Bought the Troopy a Gator dash Cam. This is the second dash cam I bought in two weeks:rolleyes:. The first was a Uniden, really good however I realized it was a 720 p. So I went and bought a Gator 1080 p , reduced from $134.95 to $84.96 from Supercheap. Anyone in Melbourne want to buy a virtually new, never used used Uniden IGO Cam 325 with a Micro SD card ( I bought) for say $50.00?
The new dash cam sure compliments the rest of my dash toys.:D

    Stock muffler out

Hi flow straight thru truck muffler

I can believe how a simple muffler change from the factory restrictive muffler to a hi flow straight thru muffler. Turbo spools up heaps earlier, car seems to breathe out better and best of all, almost no increase in loudness

did you notice any change in the engine temp

Water temp. No. My Prado is always between 86-88.

EGR temp. Maybe slightly lower but not sure.

Boost is lower at 100, while just cruising on the flat part of the freeway. I put this down to the engine breathing better and not working as hard to maintain the speed. It's down about 2psi at 100. My old surf did the same thing.

I feel I'm lighter on the pedal to maintain lower speeds like 50 and 60.

Noise level, you can hear it's not standard at if your standing at the back end. But while driving. I've got the windows down with my head out and I'm just hearing it. My induction noise is heaps louder having the snorkel and k&n filter

I managed to fix my passengers side electric window this week.:)

It stopped working about a month ago and I’d been putting off fixing it for when I had the time.
I did get the shop manual out at one point to see what it suggested, and stopped reading at the point I was going to have to pull the door trim off to check for power at the motor.

Anyway, I managed to work out what was wrong without pulling anything apart, and it was a really easy fix...

These 01:20 starts must be taking their toll, because that’s bad even for me...

I can top that. Try a full blown semi trailer who left it in gear with the park brake applied. He was convinced the starter had shit the tin.
