What cheeses me off is Cheese!

Bega Cheese to be precise. We have been getting the 20 pack of Bega tasty cheese for years. Now that has disappeared. and guess what. they have a 30 pack. But is there any more cheese? Nope they are just thinner. So thin in fact that it is nearly impossibe to get a slice off without it breaking, and now you need 2 slices to get a cheese taste in a sandwitch.

A bit too tricky. I sent them an email and they sent me a voucher for another pack

Actually Since I have started on Bega Cheese, a little known fact is that it is not Bega Cheese, from Bega. It is Beqa cheese owned by Fonterra, a NZ cheese company. Bega licenced the name Beqa to Fonterra in Australia.

Most Beqa cheeese comes from NZ, and has never been anywhere near Bega. A small amount does come from Bega so they can make calims about it's origin like below . Take a careful look at how they swap the q and g in their text. Like Bega Heritage, and Beqa sales. They try to trick everyone that it is australian. Well they do trick just about everyone. Bega and Fontera are seperate companies. Bega licences the brand to the NZ company so both benefit by tricking the market.

No, no! IMO Mainland is the best of what the supermarkets stock on their shelves. And even my last block of that wasn't up to the usual standard. What cheeses me off is that in the past year or two (since the early Covid shortages) the standard of supermarket frozen pies has gone down the gurgler, with the pastry cases becoming nasty tasting, doughy things of unknown ingredients and or addatives. Perhaps it's a good thing, because I just don't buy and eat them anymore. I swear the quality of supermarket foods has been on a constant decline the past couple decades!

Oh and one more, being called a conspiracy theorist because from the get go I believed and now know facts that covid was not from a bat but from gain of function research in a Chinese lab
I wonder how many would apologise for that unwarranted statement?
Matt, all the available, independant, reviews show that it most likely did originate from bats.

There are more and recent reports, you can find. I know the FBI maintains that it came from the plant but apparently have offered up no evidence.

I don't know, but I do know that the FBI cant be relied on for this information.

Don`t forget to format the micro sd card in your dash cam. DUH....

Had a very close call today, new undies needed.

Top of an incline, long over taking lane about 100m before the end is a curve.
Middle of the curve is a side street, so anyone in that area heading south is going to have a full head of steam by that point.
In a 100kph limit, of course if you have just got round 4-5 cars/vans some might be doing a tad more.

I came around said corner at speed, low and behold some moron is trying to pull out of the side street towing a 4wd on a trailer.

All I can say is thank Toyota the ABS system on mine works very well and said moron put his/her foot down.
Never would have believed that 100series could stop like that, whilst turning.

Pity about the dash cam footage, It would have been epic.

I hope the dickhead realises that a better idea would have been turn left " much safer" then down the road for about a K,
Turn right, U-turn, left again and Bobs your uncle, nice and safe, no one has to become a hood ornament.

Not an unusual sitution! (There are plenty of idiots and risk takers out there). A lifetime of driving (something I just love doing) has taught me that 'defensive driving' is the only approach in this mad world. So always factor in having enough line of sight and distance to compensate for whatever some idiot may deliver!

Saw a beauty last night on a freeway.A guy in a black SUV didn’t notice ahead that the left lane was banking up ,I could see and i was at least 2 cars behind, all of a sudden he’s slammed on his brakes at 100kms and realises he heading up the poor blokes bum ahead of him and violently swerved to the right lane which had a Ranger coming up in it, How he didn’t wipe it out is beyond me because the ranger didn’t even have time to brake…
I said a few choice words just watching it…

Spend some time riding a motorbike on the roads and you quickly learn the only way to survive is to assume every driver is a moron, none have seen you and every second driver is actually trying to kill you
Plus being able to predict what driver is going to do next, before they do it.

I haven’t ridden much since i was hit by an IDIOT in a vehicle travelling at 100kms while i was stationary making a right hand turn in 92’..
I still have that ability you mentioned that you need on a bike. Even today I’m still pretty good at it…
I rode a Harley in Mississippi around 5 years ago for a month and didn’t have any issues.I think it was the noise, vehicles could hear you…
Now I’ll tell you what will be a huge problem in the near future and that’s Electric Motorcycles , you hear nothing, they are deadly :D quiet…

Agreed Colly, problem was I didn`t know the street was there, I`ll remember it now.

Actually Matt I spent more than 40yrs riding motorcycles on the road, I can`t seem to remember having this many near misses.

Maybe it`s the mind playing games, reformatted card in the dash cam will test tomorrow (under controlled conditions).

Stay safe Folks.

The Australian TRASH Media demonised people that had electric scooters.

Now Big Business comes in (Uber invested 170 million) no doubt splashing money about it’s all good.

There laying across footpaths, on roads, witnessed two teenagers get off them the other night, one threw his beside the boat ramp on the rocks, The other pushed his down the boat ramp into the water, you could only see the helmet floating. It was in there for over half and hour and when retrieved for the safety of boat owners it was still talking…

Nothing to see here…

They're all over the places in the ACT. Can't use the cycle paths, parked on roundabouts, I see more piled on the roadside than I ever see being ridden... Hopefully they disappear like the annoying drone delivery services that seem to be failing around here thank god

They were brilliant in Darwin. A great way to see the city.

I cant understand how the people who treat them badly aren't hit with a severe financial cost?

Yes the system works a treat in Darwin and suits the place perfectly

I always loved Bodalla cheese.

Suddenly it`s gone, now use bega because it`s the best of what`s left.

Remember the old Oak ice cream in the 5 litre bucket, beautiful taste and cheap. GONE.

Thanks Streets.
Bodalla Cheese is alive and well. They have Bodalla Dairy (Cheese Factory) just as you come into Bodalla township on the left (heading south). Several varieties of cheeses, brilliant ice cream and delicious toasties. As much as I love the Smokey and Lemon Myrtle cheeses, when it comes to Cheddar, Tilba Cheese gets my vote by a small margin. If you are ever in Tassie, be sure to stop at Ashgrove near Deloraine. The $25 triple cheese toastie is well worth it!
