Funny thing was that another person corrected the first word but thought nothing was wrong with the second one
I think the teachers must be preoccupied fighting to keep their jobs :p

Mate you are going out of your way to make it all the teachers fault and that no one else did anything wrong.
The article said that there was a breach of the uniform policy, the Dept stood by that and the students also said that they were doing it, what further evidence do you need?

There has to be a standard of dress and that is not that it is just legal. Do you think it would be acceptable for them to wear bikinis to school? I am sure it is not illegal but is it appropriate attire for school?
There has to be guidelines and teachers need to have some control over their students just like there is in a workplace.
Nobody is saying take away or infringe on their rights, they are being asked to obey the rules. Sure the teacher could of handled it better and that can be addressed but it has become the focal point and the students have learnt nothing but how to manipulate the system to their advantage
Sorry, where did the girls say they had skirts so short as to be offensive? No, one Mum said her daughter rolled the top of her skirt, and said other girls did the same. But never said it was short. A knee length skirt rolled one inch at the top is not short. No girl admitted to an offensively short skirt. She could easily have not admitted that too, but she didnt, a concept the Principal could learn from. But no the Principal is engaged in damage control. But the horse has already bolted.

If the principal has the right to address the girls about distracting the boys, why have they, the dept and the principal, distanced themselves from that concept by denying the two statements are connected? Clearly, she does not have that right. But you folks keep arguing she has the right, her employer doesnt agree.

But she did admit she said it, just they were separate. So what was distracting the boys then? And why was it told to an extraordinary assembly of just the girls?

If the skirts were so short to be offensive, why not just suspend them, and send a letter home?

I never made it the Principals fault, she did.

Bugger that, I need a new planet. :) Everything anyone thinks or says has to be regulated and fit particular guidelines. Nobody is allowed to be offended or lose at anything. The world is just so rosey, just like nature intended....you know survival of the...err everyone? If you ask me, everything about our civilization is the answer to Fermi's Paradox. We'll go down for sure, it can't go on.
HYPOCRISY is the problem with the planet. Your comments apply equally to a dress code, and offended by short skirts.

And nature intended you to walk everywhere. Or it intended you to change it.

I can guarantee you I am anything but a prude Gary, time vs place.

If these young women can’t handle for being disciplined for wearing the uniform incorrectly they are going to have a hell of a time when it comes to quarterly evaluations at their place of employment if they haven’t pulled their weight. Luckily they will be able to fall back on a paid interview from the abc about how it’s all their principals fault for calling them out all those years ago.

What cheeses me off is young blokes, that is blokes under thirty, yes the rest of you over thirty are old blokes:D., will one day become old blokes ( refer blokes under thirty) , and be the butt of jokes and sarcastic narcissism from young blokes.:D.
Stand in front of the mirror and check yourself out before you make comments about old blokes.:D.

Mate you can’t take life to seriously. This has been a good discussion on here I recon it hasn’t decended it utter chaos remains reasonably respectful the only problem is all the blokes that haven’t realised they are wrong yet. But you can’t expect miracles to happen everyday.

FWIW: Try getting on a construction site when not adhering to the dress code.
That ain't gonna happen. It's got nothing to do with "OH&S" either, it's all about Insurance Liability.
Even Maccas has a dress code. No uniform, no work.

We are all equal in this PC Utopia, except some are more equal than others, especially females.
Don't think so? Try getting a divorce and visiting the Family Law Court some time.
Domestic violence takes on many forms, however it is all but ignored when it happens to males.
I grow weary of being stereotyped as a violent sexual pervert by the feminazis and their supporters because of my gender, sexual preference, religion and the colour of my skin. I too was "born that way"!
Alas, I am but a WHAM - White Hetero Aussie Man - and if it wasn't for us there would be no need to lift skirts up, cake on face paint yada etc. yada etc. yada etc. yada etc.
If we didn't look, they wouldn't do it I guess...
I'm sorry, it's all our fault - our "bad".

Ultimately, nature will correct all this, it's unavoidable. Darwin was right, survival of the fitest. If we continue to allow the weak to survive and breed then it will bring us down. Very harsh words who's principal I don't even agree with myself. I'm happy to allow the weak to flourish even though I'm sure doing so will end us all. All of this everyone gets an equal chance, everyone gets a prize, nobody gets insulted stuff is wrong from the perspective of actual reality. I wonder how long we can fight nature in an attempt at mental Utopia before we crumble? It's deep man... :)

This is something that cheeses me off no end - domestic violence where the woman is the perpertator. If a man kills his wife/kids he's spoken about as a filthy piece of crap committing heinous acts of domestic violence (quite rightly) but when a woman does it (which happens more than you think) she's 'mentally unwell' and is usually shown pity.
