hi everyone, about 5 tears ago i found a rather steep track that headed down to a smallish creek. would have been somewhere between zig zag and bungleboori camp ground i think. does anyone have any idea what i am talking about???i swam in it and also saw fish and some yabbies too, would be fun to see again. if only i could afford a gps then.

G'day

The place you are talking about is known as the dam cliffs I think. There are some places where you can camp down there. Here is a link Google Maps

dams

Hi

Might be the old Lithgow Water supply dam it on the road from Zig Zag to Bungleboori if you use the link zoom out a little and scoll up you can see a dam and Farmers creek written on the map that might be it ive been down there a few times walked across the wall people were there swimming could see how you could get to the creek thou and i wouldnt take a trailer down there bit hard to turn around and the other dams near the railway line were settlement ponds for the stream engine way back then and im pretty sure the SRA take a dim view of people driving down to them as you have to drive right next to the main western rail line ive been there to and there bloody cold water
hope this helps
