Water tank

I'd love to see jerry cans that have a 30l capacity instead of 20, but in the same width and length profile as a standard one so it could fit in a normal jerry can holder. It would be heavy but you could empty it in situ with a pump.

I have a couple of the Sceptor 25 litre squat jerry cans that sit upbetter but wont fit in a standard holder

Most people these days couldn’t even lift a 30l jerry can full of fuel onto the roof or holder on the back of the car, I have seen how fit young men struggle to lift stuff at work, it’s one extreme or the other, jacked up gym junkies or people who spend there life on the couch and are as weak as piss

The gym junkies are as weak as piss too, all show and no go

This is an interesting idea that might appeal to some setups. Would make a good fuel tank option for big treks too

They do a nice jack base as well.
"With a full 50L of water and traction boards fitted, the tank weighs approximately 68kg."

and that there folks is my nominated roof limit .... so .... nice idea, but clued up clever clogs aint gunna buy won.

As said above.
The last place I would be adding weight!
But then I have a 30kg tent up there as well.

Anyone considering the idea has to factor in their own set ups.

I rarely have anyone in the back seat so a bladder across the footwells would make more sense to me.

Yep would quickly put my Disco 4 over the roof limit as well, it would also put any 4wd that is used in the high country or for serious 4wding over the limit of common sense

A product like this has to be used in context, off course it is not suitable for the more extreme off roading but neither is your caravan or camper trailer hanging behind you.
As a tourer doing say desert crossings or outback routes it is an appropriate option. Have a look around and you will see plenty of vehicles with gas bottles and jerry cans hanging off the roof.

These don’t look too bad for convenience

Sorry I am A DIY man through & through & think $210 for that is just fantastic for the man with to much money, the lazy man or the person that just has no skills at all or any imagination :p

There are so many YouTube hacks out there that you can take what you want from each & make it your own.

This is just one example

Just a bit of work, time & effort & Bob's your uncle at 1/2 or even 1/3 the price :)
