i might be a starter bud, but cant be sure yet, got a few things that are not looking good at the moment for doing any thing on the weekend,

iv been there a few times quite a few good trks id start with burns trk and the trks off burns.
on the track section of this site iv logged a trk off burns called mt bride fire brk, a bit of fun, if you start on burns trk entering off smythe creek rd. theres a fair few sections of burns trk thats fun on your way to mt bride fire brk , it depends what your looking for its fair med to hard in some sections havent found any really hard stuff there yet not to say it's not there some where just have nt found any yet trks change very quickly too im sure burns trk gets graded very regulary last time i was there (earlyer this year) burns trk was quite muddy and rutted for long sections, i did find a fair few bull dozed entrys as well

heres a link to mt bride fire brk.

i do remember the trees up mt bride been thin trees, could you just pull them out the way with some drag chains ? or was it a big sucker ?

Great guys, thanks for the info and hope to see whoever can make it on sunday. Me and some others are gonna try meet at warb town centre at 10am and head off from there, prob along the suggested tracks. Ill keep my cb on ch. 10, and i guess you could just call for me, matt. if you see us along the way we got my discovery 1 ( silver) and a black triton, green prado, and a 4th cab not sure what is yet though.

These tracks are better accessed from Old Warburton Road at Wesburn. Can i suggest we meet at "LOG CABIN" petrol station on Warburton Hwy at Launching Place. Cheers David.

dunno about best access but i know burns trk after mt bride coming from smythe creek rd. is just a normal trk. but i guess things change, i personaly enter off smythe creek and half the fun is burns trk befor you get to mt bride i guess you can go down mt bride and down burns trk but then your hean 'n out of the bush but i dunno each to there own, either way theres much more good trks to go on than just burns and mt bride but there a good start. pleas let us know how the day goes, i will unfortnetly not be able to attend.

best of luck

phil

Usually come from Old Warburton rd to crusher trk, across mineshaft hill, then cemetery, cross over Mt bride Road to burns trk then up Mt bride fire trail through waterhole then left to top of mountain clearing. In the wet can be very difficult but dry should be okay. Will let you know how we went. Cheers David.
