Walhalla - Saturday 15 December

Who is interested in a day trip (including an early start) to Walhalla, Saturday 15 December.

Tackle Deep Ck tracks and others.

As its a long way from home, I would say come prepared, with a well set up vehicle that includes a winch!

Hey Tonka Jeep

I would like to join you on this trip, I have little experience but love the area and as a group would be the only time I would attempt this.

Have a GQ with 35's, no winch at the moment. Provided I can source a spare I would like to tag along please?

Cheers

Hey mate,

Given the area, tracks and planning for worst case scenario I only feel comfortable going that far from home if everyone has a winch. It is safer for everyone in my honest opinion!

Grab yourself an early Christmas present and you'll be set for next weekend!

Hey mate,

Busy fixing my rear locker currently, but should be good for Saturday fingers crossed.
Will post up details at latest Thursday evening, just need to keep working on the locker first.

Aiming to be aired-down and hitting the tracks around 10am on Saturday in Walhalla, if that helps with the planning.

See you on the weekend Rudi looking forward to helping you.

With regards to Deep Creek 1, i echo the warning. We complete Deep Creek 1 two weekends ago heading upstream and barely got all vehicles out.

EXTREME care is required on the climb out, the climb out after the creek section and the final creek step up. From the step up there are 3 or 4 badly rutted steps in very tricky locations resulting in a high likely hood of a roll over if the line taken isnt followed with surgical precision.

Be very very careful, a roll over there isnt likely to be just a single roll on the track, more like 50 rolls off the mountain side.

Travis.
