I like the Monaro.
It reminded me of one I saw in a garage many years ago in Dundas.
A 240z body on a defender 90 chassis, V8 powered, it did look very out there.

My 1st 4WD but what was unusual was that it came standard with half a V8. Only 4 cylinders but a V8 big end. Distributer had 4 rubber bungs for the missing cylinders. Only a two seater. Took me to a lot of remote places as a 20 year old in Mt Isa

We did a building job in Sunnybank years ago and the old neighbour who liked a chat had one. It was stolen one night. About a week later we spotted it being driven around Woodridge and gave chase, I was on the mobile to the police. We cornered the blokes behind a shopping centre and just as it was getting physical one of the biggest Māori dudes I’ve seen from dept of corrections appeared and compliance quickly ensued. We were lucky because they had knives we didn’t know about. Long story short, old mate (originally from Cunamulla) got his scout back.

Seen a few big American 4wd campers like that on the net they look good but I would be worried about the fuel tank and brackets getting hung up.
