Unread threads.

Hi,

When I go to a specific thread topic, all the threads with unread posts, are BOLD. When I navigate away and then back to the page, all unread threads are normal text again:confused::confused:.

Is there a setting on my profile I can change to change this, or is this a setting which needs to be changed from the forum's side?

Hi Mate,

Are you navigating using your back button on your Browser???

If you press the New Posts button at the top they are no longer bold when you get back there.

Hope this helps. Failing that shot a PM off to Patriot he will give you the right advise.

Cheers

No, I'm not using the back buttons on my browser. The frustration comes in that I might not read everything at once, and when I go back to a specific thread topic, I can't see which ones I've read.

I'll drop Patriot a PM.

Thanks

sounds like you are being "inactive" for too long...

What i do is open each section in a TAB (Firefox or IE7) and then open each thread in another TAB... then as I read them, I just close the TABs... at least that way Ive caught up with everything I wanted to see...

or u could just click on "forum" at the top of your screen when u have finished in that thread. Or if u wanna stay in that sub-heading but view other threads then click on the sub-heading at the top left of your screen where it says

4x4 Earth > 4x4 Earth > Suggestions, Feedback & Help > Unread threads

If u wanna view another thread in this sub-heading u would click on
4x4 Earth > 4x4 Earth > Suggestions, Feedback & Help > Unread threads

This keeps your screen up to date with wot u have viewed, posted on etc

I'll join that club. I can build a house or a car but computers r out of my league. What I stated above is about the limit of my PC knowledge :D

download a copy of firefox 3 (its free and better than Internet Explorer)...

instead of clicking on a link with your normal mouse button, if you click with your middle button (or scroll wheel) it will open the link in a new TAB.... if you still have no idea what im on about, just download IE7 or firefox - and try it out....
