Looking at going up to the NT for 4 weeks mid year 09 driving around having a look about
We are towing camper trailers.
So the topic has come up with what tyres to put that will hold up to the job.
So im putting out there for some advice as ive never been up there so your info would be
gladly taken on board.Thax

ya know if i was doing those sort of kilos i would think about putting on some stiff side wall truck tyres rather then all terrains thats what i would do with our camper anyway and if you do get punctures you could find rhem a lot easier than some specific all terrrain just my two cents

hi mate...it a great place to come and see, on the tyre side of things ive been running the standed tyres from new on my prado and have had no damage as of yet (25000km)..and do a lot of off road driving with my work ..but it is best to run A/T or LT for peace of mind if you plan to go off the beaten track but most gravel roads up here(central aust) are keeped in good condition most of the time..

Were not leaving till mid year.But its good to start sorting something out now.
Because i usely leave it till the last minute
