Hey guys i am looking at getting a work truck. I have my eye on a 2003 triton 4x4 2.8L turbo diesel. its done 120k km. seems clean but just after some feedback from people that have owned or driven one.

any negatives and positives would be great.

thank you all paul

haven't got into tritons but if your still looking around check out eastcoast commericals web site based in brissy and sunshine coast i bought a 2001 mazda 2500 itd with XL body for work from there about 2 and half years ago has never missed a beat even after clocking 150 000 ks in that time. Long range tank (110 ltrs) and towbar already fitted.
What you see is what you get and i would buy from there again.
The brissy yard has a huge range including tritions most with fairly low ks for the age of the viechels.
hope this helps a little.

bt50boy, I've got a mate who's actually talking about upgrading his Triton as he's finished with the tray back after renos. He bought it new, and it's only got about 35K on it I believe. I can ask him if he's still looking at selling it if you're interested.

Paul,
As the owner operator of my second Triton (1st one petrol 3 l v6, 2nd one 2.8 l TD) I find they make a very reliable work truck, with enough power to tow a decent size trailer without much in the way of problems.
As a play truck they seem to be reasonably capable as well, I just need to fit some muddies to mine before I go out next time and it will go anywhere most other s will go.

thanks grey ghost, i am aware that they dont turn to well but lets face it none of them turn real well anyway. As far as off road goes for me in this one its pretty much for muddie work sites and up the beach with the boys. cause of the miles not looking at putting MT on them. just stick to AT at this stage.

yeah harmo just send me any details about it, i am always keen to see whats about.
