Well, we all started off okay with no damage and the 4 cars reasonably clean. Met Elbie84, Bainsy and Bluebird68 at the Longwarry BP at 9:30 AM, fueled up and headed of towards the Latrobe River Crossing. We got to the trail bike unloading area on Latrobe River Road, aired down, had a chat and decided to head off.
I know good track said Bainsy.
Anyway, headed further along Latrobe River Road, hung a left at Carrolls Track, followed that along for a little bit and then turned left onto another unmarked and un-named track, lets just call it Hell Track. We did come up with some other names for it, but being a family oriented site, probably best that we don't mention them here.
We met at the BP at 9:30 and got back to the BP at 2:30. 5 hours in all. Guess how many tracks we did.
One
And it wasn't a long one either, we entered of Carrolls Track and followed the fence line in for a little bit, probably only a kilometre or so. It was the next kilometre that took us quite a few hours.
The YouTube videos are uploading, they seem to take a while, so I will upload the links to them later today / this evening. In the meantime, have a look at some of the pics.
At the end of the day, my ( Davidman ) Pajero was only capable of one wheel drive, one huge clunk / bang later trying to get up the hill will be sending me to the mechanic.
Elise..............will be calling you during the week sometime to book the car in....hope you guys are ready
Anyway, at least I still had steering. Bainsy did a CV joint, and possibly some other damage, so his previously couple of hundred dollar repair may now need another zero added onto the end of it. Must have been hard for him only able to steer right. Steering left, even the small corners was a multi point turn.
More to come
