Massive thanks to Scotty, I am still on a high from the experience.

Bugsy, mate, you certainly dont do things by halves, whether your damaging your truck, cooking an awesome dinner or ringing the Mrs doing some quality sucking up, you sir are a champion.

Matty, that Jeep continues to impress me every time we head out, if only it had the looks to match its performance it would be unreal :p .

I hope to have some go pro footage up in the next week or so.

ok heres a short report then

Friday :
was wet  very wet
after nearly not making it due to my daughter getting sick i rocked up about 730pm to the boys all set up and on the cans with a small fire flickering in the rain
i cracked a cold one and set my gear up managing not to get to wet. then settled back for a few laughs around the fire
Saturday :
that night it pissed down :D and we woke to find Kris and Justin floating around the camp site in there swags and Rob had ditched his brand new tent for the front seat of his 80 as there was more water in side it than out :p
so this was the ongoing joke for the day.
it continued to rain up until 930am and we were debating weather to pack up and head home, Then all of a sudden the sun was out so we jumped in the cars and headed for a look at the old huts and the two lookouts close to camp.
The weather was only getting better at this time so we decided to take a look at the track and if it was overly wet we would turn around.
well the track was wet but really gripy so we crawled our way through, some of us were on two wheels in spots and others had things clenched from start to finish.
we didn't get to the top due to the water washing some big holes in the track Wright before the step up along the rock wall witch is about three quarters the way through i guess ( soon it will be lockers only passed this point and still expect damage)
i managed to get stuck on the way out in a fun little spot that is now more a bog hole due to the river coming on to the track and washing the soil out making a steep bank that i couldn't get a wheel on due to the angle my trol was sitting on. This required knocking the top off the bank and then a short winch out.
kris dropped his passenger side in to a new hole that was covered with water and had to be snatched back out by rob. He did his damage in a few different spots as he likes to share himself around
two side steps a door sill and the front quarter is on the repair list for his trip. All the other cars came out with no damage (that they would admit anyway)
on the way back to camp we stopped at the groto that was at its the best, with all the water flowing down the waterfalls and through the ravine
back at camp the stories came out around the fire from the days rivalry  as we hit the cans again, cooked up some grub and the boys dried out there swags and gear for another nights rest
sunday morn was an early pack up after brecky to head back home

thanks to all for a top weekend and helping with my winch recovery (great team work):D:D
cant wait for the next trip

all my pics are the same as matt's so have a look at his photo bucket!

Soon i'll go through all those pics and once i get kris and robs pics i'll try cut it down to a nice selection of pics..

@ rob looks might not be to your liking, but ze jeep only needed a 2 inch lift to get everywhere your 80 series with a what 5 inch lift went:eek::rolleyes::cool:

ha ha ha, should have known the biggest set of keys would be his, lol.

Like I say, I am nothing but impressed with the Jeep, even with 42 attempts at each climb you made it up them all... :D:p:D

i don't have lockers and don't like the idea of flooring it first go so shuddup you:p

Was doing some googling and actually found a post from a locally based npws ranger back in march that says they have plans on introducing a keyed access system to get up there:( (think limeburners, spanish steps etc.....) look how well they worked out!
They are supposed to have released there draft plan of management for public comment awhile ago, but still havn't and depending on who you ask it looks like they havn't done much consulting with the people it will likely affect as per usual.....

I really need to get to the top and soon!
I know why the top is gated now, apprently there is a plant up there that grows nowhere else..... yeh i google crap when i'm bored haha!

Yeah but the goats are eating them plus there up in the rocks covered in chicken wire and there not anywhere you could drive. and that gate is more of an honesty gate, youll know what I mean when you see it.
