Tribute at Turon for Mr Rum. Oct. 6

For all those that knew Pete...aka Mr Rum well then you all know just how much he loved 4x4 Earth and further more just how much he loved a good yarn around a fire.
After talking with Mrs Rum (Jen) Saturday October 6 has been set as the date for us all to get together and celebrate in true Earth style the life of our mate, or should I say Earth brother, Pete, Rum or Rummie as he was known.
It will be at The Diggings Campground at Turon NP.
For any Earther that wasn't lucky enough to have met Pete you are more than welcome to come along and share the night and listen to the stories about Pete that will be circling the fire.

As it is National Park we need to bring firewood, or collect in nearby areas where it is legal to do so.:confused:;)
As there has been very little rain up that way I would imagine that the river crossings would be way down but we may need someone to do a reccy the week before if possible.

I will be getting there around lunchtime on the Thursday if anyone wants to join me. Friday will be a wood gathering day!!!! We might need a small pile.

Would love to attend but have some big projects booked in for work around then so sadly wont be able to get away for the time needed to come up from Melbourne. If a few of you could raise your drinks on my behalf it would be great.
I will raise my own in his memory at the Vic gathering

I would love to make the trip down to support the NSW crew but it would mean a significant number of ducks would need to be cajoled in to a single linear formation. I can't see that happening, so enjoy each others company and the campfire banter, I hope the weather is kind to you and everyone travel safe.

sorry i can't make it on that weekend, I would have loved to of been able to come but i have already pre paid for my entry & camp site on the mountain at the Bathurst 1000 on that weekend
