GDay 4x4Earthers,
The GF, her family, and i are going camping at "The Gorge" (http://thegorge.tripod.com/) which is just north west of Copmanhurst, out Grafton way. We are going for just a few days for a bit of camping, fishing, kayaking and of course 4wding.
My question is does anyone know of any areas around there to go 4wding?? We will be looking for easy- moderate tracks, and apparently there is plenty of places, but no one has posted any tracks on the map!!
Thanks for your help!!
Cheers, Hogo!

Yea mate. I got some great maps of the area. Spent a lot of time around Sportsmans creek and Pickapene forest. I didn't know the Gorge had reopened.. I would be keen to get down there one weekend. We camped across the river a while ago at Wave Hill Station.

Ok will do. Just joined.
Only if you want to, there is no requirement to add any information if you’re more comfortable not filling out all the profile details
Just go to the new members section and do a small intro if you want
Sorry I can’t give any helpful info about the tracks you asked about

Old Grafton Glenn Innes rd is just a dirt road but very pretty along the river. Turn off at Dalmorton and head South into the gold prospecting areas and you have possibly the biggest 4wd park in northern NSW to play in all the way south to Ebor. I put some pics up a couple of months back.

Hi Nupur

The old Grafton to Glen Innes Road is an easy unsealed road - the Dalmorton area and tunnel is a highlight. For some fun you can drive up to Tommy's Lookout - steep with rollovers. You can also take the road to Chaelundi from Dalmorton and turn off to Doon Goonge campsite which is a lovely spot on the Chandler Creek. Otherwise explore the Ramornie area where there are a number of tracks, and a steep descent to the a campsite on the Nymboida River.

Lots of 4x4 fun to be had in northern NSW!

Hope this is helpful

Yvonne
