Well Yesterday was a very Sad day, My pride and Joy was sold. spontaneously posted it for sale thinking we will see how it goes and bang 10 hours later it was sold. caught off guard big time.

it was only a time game need something with more seats ( new family ). Just a little hurt it went so quick, i am sure the new owner will love it as much as i did and no doubt it will live on for many many years to come.

End of a chapter, Unfortunately long term i dont know what blank canvas i will buy, for now nothing

Wow snapped up pretty quickly huh, guess the buyer knew what he was after and the timing right.

I struggle selling my 4b's, i kinda get emotionally attached to em , bit silly i guess.
Spose thats why iv had my 80 for nearly 15 yrs, Can't bring myself to sell it:rolleyes:.

Oh wow i know thefeeling of having to sell it for family.

Been there too and sucks big time.

In the mean time and being without a 4bee for 6 months i bit the bullet amd aquired myself a Gu Patrol.

Being a very capable off roader it appealed to me as it was a full sized family wagon, solid axles and great 4x4 capability which still allowse to go camping or 4wding with my new family.

Dont get me wrong , my whole family are Toyota men, amd i have always loved yotas too, but these days i decided to maintain a modest approach and get something which suited my needs in this present moment rather than suffering from a bad case of brand loyalty.
Best of luck with what you do mate and hoping you and your new & or soon to be family are well.

We are all 4wd enthusiasts, amd as long as we can get out to do the things we enjoy thoroughly it shouldnt matter what rig it in.
Take care and speak soon

Dang!! That was an awesome build as well. Did you sell it with the 17's/35" wheel combo? They looked amazing. I feel your pain, mate.

Yeah for a long time I wanted a 79 series TD Once I had it not much changed loved it

If a wagon suited the Y61 would definetly be a look in.

Don't do it! Very painful, there is a very good chance I will become a much bigger alcoholic.

A quick sale is a good sale mate :)

Thanks mate, Yes they were not advertised but 2 photos had them on and he was very keen so they went with.

Sort of fairly specific. Rears -25 fronts 0 with a 5x150 really only good for a 70 series.
Beadlocks ect. He purchased it specifically for off-road use so I guess it was a no Breiner for him

Don't know if I'll end with a 79 duel cab and if I did I'd imagin it would be a fair way off being able to run those tyres

^ sorry mate, i would have done them for a steal but who would have know any one would be interested fairly specific use and only fits 1 vehicle.

They Transformed the vehicle Thow any doubt just go to 6Psi and foot to the floor nah not really just crawl through lol...

got back Wednesday arvo, great trip got to see heaps

car was great, unichip has made it alot easier to drive 5th gear will easily pull up any hill.
the rims and tyres performed flawlessly, the build quality of the rims is superb they fit the factory flat washer wheel nuts to the mm and fit snug over the hub like a factory wheel

decided to head out to my old stomping grounds ( toolangi )
to see what it can do before i throw the GLX rims back on
im fairly sure it was its first time there, i was always scared to take it there just so big and heavy not like the old BJ70.

it went great nothing broke and didnt get stuck straight up the middle of rocky and lyndells, never been able to do that before and they looked in worst condition than ever, i actually thought i was going to either get stuck or face plant some rock ledges but nothing more than a rear leaf spring banging a rock, ran tyres at 17psi looked like a happy medium i tried to avoid the mud holes as i dont fancy forking out cash for a starter or alternator.

a few photos
