I feel sorry for the owner, I can imagine how angry he would be. This just reminds me to be vigilant and remember to use the kill switch when I park it. . every time. My kill switch is kinda sneaky, it lets it start but it runs like shit and stalls etc. like its got water in the fuel. . . in the hope they think its an unreliable pile of shit and dump it quick and steal something else rather than waste time looking for the switch

Someone needs to design an anti theft devise that if you don't punch in the code you get tasered after 30 seconds of entering the car.
So even if they home invade and pinch the keys you can still get them.
Then a GPS signal goes to the police and ambulance service.
Just make sure you have water proof seat covers that can be replaced.

ACA? Now there's a credible program. And people still own guns - responsible people mostly. If you're a gun owner I'm glad I'm on this side of the continent.

Update – On the 3rd October 2 different people told me that a jackaroo was on the Creb track far north qld 480 kms from Townsville were the Jackaroo was stolen and that it was a match with my description but never had number plates or photo to confirm . So I placed a post about the stolen jackaroo on the Creb Track Facebook page . On Thursday night another 2 people told me it was there and this time one mentioned a small sticker on the back that’s upside down that reads HELP. You beauty , so we load a 4x4 with tyres , tools and fuel thinking it’s either broken down or run out of fuel , considered that someone would pinch the wheels .

We drove from Townsville and arrived at the Mossman end of the Creb track at 2am in the morning and arrived at the stolen Jackaroo at 5 am .

Who had driven the Creb in the middle of the night on there first time lol?
Its amazing just how many animals sleep on the track at night .

The car would not start. We slept beside it for an Hour then it started raining, worried at how quickly the track turns to mud I worked on it, found it had no fuel pressure and for a while we thought it was a lost cause as no one recovers from here , Luckily it was a damaged fuel pump wire and earth. We were on the road back on the track at 6am Friday . By 8.30am we were off the track still wearing gloves until the police dusted for prints ( Lots found Inside on the glass )

The jackaroo is not as good as it was. Its copped a flogging , A few dents , The automatic trans slips up steep hills ( we think they did it in high range as that's how it was parked )

A lot of camping gear , wheel cover , hard wired Invertor , big AGM Battery and an expensive lead light bar was stolen and then they went nuts with wire cutters and cut wires for no reason inside the car that used to go to battery and accessories . Its like they wanted to sell the copper.

The vehicle made it made home to Townsville under its own steam this afternoon. It. It is in need of a big repair bill but the Owner is Glad He Has Jack back and thanks everyone that helped look for him.

This is where we found him parked in a drain .°+6'5.72"S+145°19'57.52"E

We could buy a gun from kmart , most people knew people that had a gun or more . We also could leave our front doors open all night in the Valley in Brisbane (try doing that today ) , Here in Townsville too we used to do it n nit anymore and its not because of dengue fever. More people had guns until the buy back and since licencing requires a bolted down gun safe people that rent a home cant own a gun at home with out risking getting kicked out for drilling holes in floor and walls so this cant meet licence requirements . So I am correct in saying this as led to an increase in crime to the extent that one non reflective from Australia was sprung telling another non reflective new comer from sudden that people don't have guns here . Even if they catch you just run away , its not like USA etc he said . This is the mentality of an Australian Home burglar/car thief. Its a little different in usa . I am wondering what your all scared of over me owning a fire arm . I wont shoot you unless you enter my house in the middle of the night . Is that something you do ?

Good to hear your mate got his vehicle back eventually, in better condition than expected, not torched.
It’s just disgusting that these days the lowlifes have more rights than the rest of us who pay their dole payments with our taxes.

Well the Jackaroo transmission is slipping in 1,2 up hills from a stand still and needs a overhaul. This is a result of the nonreflectives trashing the car up the creb in HIGH RANGE (that's how it was dumped parked in high range almost up the hill beside the phone signal sign . It didn't make it all the way up ) The surface the rubber suspension bump stops hit were polished like chrome . even on the back were there is like six inches of gap a rest . I am surprised there is no cracks in the chassis. The car was full of little kids finger prints in the back , They don't even care for there own kids . There is nothing but a timber false floor in the back like a tray back ute so it can be slept in . These kids must have had one hell of a rough ride and tossed around like spuds hence the thousand finger prints on the back glass.

And is someone in your house at night a risk to you or do you just pump them full of holes and ask questions later? Like I said, glad I'm over here.

Townsville just released the latest surge in car theft stats and now we are by ratio of population almost 25% greater chance of having your car stolen in Townsville than in Vic when I compared your article . The sad part about it only about 50 odd kids are stealing most of the cars between here and cairns . They keep letting them out .

Not much I imagine , I did a stall test in all gears today with a short drive around to cool it back down all while having a line pressure gauge taped to the mirror . It failed all pressure minimums which is a complete reverse to the clean bill of health it was given by a rebuttable Transmission builder not long ago when the owner had them do a 100% fluid change , service and band adjustment ( they said it must have ben reconditioned ). The insurance company is paying for a mechanical inspection at a Auto Specialist , The auto shop said they are doing line pressure and flow tests on It as well as a mechanical check, and oil samples . I had it on my hoist again today and didn't notice this before but its been flogged so hard the body mounts compressed and the torsion bar threads hit the floor pans. They must have been doing this too it . Bump stop contacts have no rust proofer on it anymore either . 19665692_820150878146678_35943100684679777_n.jpg 20171013_150308.jpg

I have had a, "issue" with some young kids.
Caught them bla bla bla, went even to court bla bla. Bla bla bal bal
Apperantly IT STILL WASN'T enough for the careing "folk". They (2) walked out scott YES SCOTT free even thou they where caught, breached bail conditions, Bla bla
I still think about it a go WTF.

Worse part. They can sue the government for "miss treatment" (yes yes a little bit may of been a little bit true for a VERY small amount).
I'm over the little boy who cried wolf.
