Well this is one of my ones for the pool room.. riding Uncle Ho's trail from north to south Vietnam.
The ride took a week and it was an amazing thing. The smells, the people, the countryside, the cities, the rain, the el cheapo beers, the traffic, the food, the crash..yep. Pool Room stuff.

It's just surreal. I heard one person call it NQR.
Not Quite Right. and some stuff is just bizarre!
I saw a Lexus clip a school kid... brake lights flashed then gone!

Old mate here was arcing it up on the side of the road in Hanoi. No OH&S or that bullshit, just get the job done!
I bought him a welding mask for a whole 3 bucks cause he couldn't afford it...

    Was it an organised tour?

It was organised through Active Travel Asia.
Ride started at the HoChiMin Musuem outside Hanoi and roughly followed the HoChiMin highway to HoiAn. Mix of roads and tracks... from along the tracks through rice fields to the psycho traffic in cities.
Six people and over scored a backup truck and a ride-along guide... bloody great deal!
I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Riding was a great way to see so much of the place - the people and the country.

A variety of roads and scenery....

We really do have it easy here. That's why they have cheap labour there, no rules or fines if someone gets hurt, no insurances or compo payouts to hit you, no work cover etc etc etc...just get the job done.
