Tablet holder

Hope the images have come up!
Fitted into cd slot with the addition of double sided tape to glue to holder, top and bottom full width 12 x 12 x1.6 aluminium angle to disperse the stress across width of the cd slot with electricians tape to ensure it does not scratch
Fabricated a 24# sheet bracket (can be a bit of colorbond) which is attached to the body of the holder via 40mm turn down, with a bolt and wing nut, the other end fits behind the bezel of the screen, approx 12mm over bent, total length 100mm
It is very sturdy and would have no hesitation to take it off road. Total cost $20.00
Can get your hands behind if you want to get to the controls and does not interfere with gear lever

That thing would rip the guts out of my CD player in 2 secs flat in The High Country.

Glad your only sticking to the bituman :D , I wouldn’t like your chances with corrugations either. I’ll stick with my RAM Mount bolted to the passenger seat bolt.... But Goodluck with it...;)

Have to agree, wouldn't be putting that anywhere near my CD player.
I'll take my chances on a windscreen mount though

Read the article fully, is braced with no movement, tested on a rough track no vibration and solid as a rock. Would not last 10 minutes on an off road track if just held by the cd slot. Intend to use it in the high country and am totally confident when ever we can get there

I’ve had an iPhone 8plus on a magnetic CD player mount in the ranger for a number of years. I put some extra tape around the base to create a better friction fit and it hasn’t moved. The magnet mounts on the phone let go on corrugations every now and then. An iPad would weigh a bit more but it wouldn’t be the plastic fascia of the CD slot I’d be worried about. That bit is strong and the load is transferred by the large tabs. Certainly no ram mount but neither is the price. I hate windscreen mounts.

I used a Ram mount and attached to my rear view mirror mount
Love it up there, rock solid and no glare from the sun

Looks like a good place, don't think it would work in the Ranger as there is so much crap up there.
Can't place on dash as it restricts your view too much
Can some one confirm whether the photos came up, if not will have to repost them

There is an aliexpress link but that’s all I see.
The cruiser has a bit more space up there so it works well for me

Which RAM mount do you have Alby? I don't think I'd be able to do that with mine anyway due to the roof console

Not a very good photo as it is foggy here atm but here is a pic of it and the bracket I made to hold it. I can’t see a model number on the front though

I thought that i would post the above as a cheap alternative to the RAM system, as by memory they want about $50 for a suction cap plus for every thing else. Not saying it is good gear but bloody expensive for what it is!

I have updated my iPad to a new Air4 so my current Ram mount posted above needs replacement
Any suggested alternatives to a new version of the same? What about the magnetic style mounts, are they suitable or won’t handle the corrugations?
