Suzuki Jimny for sale

I’m giving my 2010 Suzuki Jimny a good clean up. It’ll be advertised on Facebook when I’m happy that it is presentable. It's in Canberra. I hate cleaning cars. I need to check the price range of what they sell for. Haven’t really looked as yet. But if anyone is interested or knows of anyone, feel free to get it touch.

You got yourself a replacement yet? What are you thinking of getting?

That'll have to wait.

It's kind of funny. I bought the car primarily because I wanted to buy a block of land. Some land is almost inaccessible without a 4WD. If you want to get to see what's on offer in remote locations you need a vehicle that can get you anywhere. So, a block came up for sale and I bought it. I have my 18 hectares with a little hut and shed of sorts. And I'm happy. But the land is accessible directly off a bitumen road and the track on the land is drivable by any 2WD car. Isn't that a joke.

There was only one short section on the land that a 4WD would have been good. A 50 meter downhill track to the hut. And the Jimny negotiated it without any trouble. It is a steep-ish section, but I took my old Mitsubishi Lancer down there once and it drove up on its own. A lot of wheel spin on the way but it made it.

I would have loved to have spent time camping in remote spots in the Jimny, but never got around to it. My new block is taking a lot of my time. I'll maybe buy something in the future. When my block is fixed up, or if I sell it and buy another.

Have you tried reversing the Lancer up the hill? Gravity giving you a bit more grip on the driving wheels.

Sorry, a bit off topic. Good luck with the Jimny sale.

Thanks. Actually, after its shampoo on the weekend and now that it sparkles a bit I'm wondering if I should keep it. It looks so nice.

Reversing could have worked, but I reckon I fluked the right kind of not-too-dry and not-too-damp conditions of the track that day. It won't be going back down there again. I only did it knowing I'd have they Jiminy to pull it back up.
