Supanova driving lights

I am looking at my options for new driving lights. I was leaning towards the Stedi but found these and I like the idea of the side beams for wildlife on the side of the road. They also have another model that is even brighter with spot beams but think this hybrid style is a more suitable option for me

Never even heard of them to be honest.
But after reading some of the info etc, I can see the benefit. Outright distance is a silly metric really..

Yes that clip is how I found them, the spots are ridiculously bright, too bright I think and have a big hotspot. The hybrids seem to have a more usable light which was the attraction
They appear to be a well made product with quality products and a reasonable pricepoint but I know nothing about them

They look pretty good. Just need to work out how to mount them.
I take it they come as a left and a right model for the side beams?

Generally best to avoid brands that have english like this:
Delivering over 980m of light @1lux and over 1400m @ 0.25 lux
There is absolutely no way you can tell if they are good quality, they all are getting cheaper and china is getting better. They look slapped up compared to the offroad reputable brands, but most here probably put 5hrs a year on them so they may go the distance.
They are a bit of a copy of the baja lights, and will have a ton of glare back and being on the cool white side will make it worse. They missed the boat really as you want a strong elongated low beam with cutoff.

Not that I am aware of and assume not, I don’t see the need to either?? They have just angled a couple of leds on the sides to give the extra spread which I like the idea of
I use my hi beams on a daily basis and encounter a lot of wildlife

As mentioned previously the distance isn't really as important as the spread. If you're not going to stop in time with 800 plus metres of beam you are obviously driving too fast or need to go to specsavers. It's the critters coming in from the sides that can give you the most grief.
Even in the old days of Halogen globes I personally preferred the spread over the pencil beams.

You are travelling up to 28 meters per second?
A kangaroo at full noise is travelling up to 19.5 meters per second?
Facing forward, in your perifial vision you are aware of the mirrors on both doors? but what can you see, clearly?
There are 2 windscreen pillars, there are cars with quarter glass windows, there are wind/weather shields on some?
You sit on the right, therefore to the left is more clear vision angle than to the right.
Are you constantly flicking your vision from left to right and back every second? in that second you have gone 28 meters and a kangaroo has gone 19.5 meters?

Opinion; 9 million candle power spread 180 degrees you only have seconds to react, yes you may avoid it, yes you may end up upside down in the ditch, take note of your automatic response next time and tell me you don't swerve?

Been watching this thread. Ended up ordering LLA dl9. They appear same quality as Stedi and Supernov and have 2yr warranty. At the moment on sale 50% off. $318. From what I worked out they are more spot than spread which is ok for me as I have the sides already covered. I also noticed in the videos these have constant light pattern instead of those annoying bright/dark lines if you know i im refering to.

So many bloody choices

Hey @Albynsw , can you give us an update on the supernova's?
I have the opportunity to score a new set of driving lights and after looking through everything (Stedi, Lightforce, Supernova, Ultravision), the supernova's seem to tick all the boxes. They seem to have the best spread out of all the spotties I've looked at.

I have them on my new cruiser plus my old one which has done two trips to Darwin and is currently on its way to the Pilbara with them on with a lot of that driving done at night.

No complaints so far and happy with the purchase. The quality seems excellent and would rate them as a Stedi equivalent product. I recently received an email that they currently have a 15% off store wide sale running.
I know it is a bit speculative looking at their diagrams but I liked the light spread specs too which is what prompted me to give them a go.

Cheers mate, just what I wanted to hear. I run a Stedi light bar at the moment and couldn't recommend it more highly but am looking at spoties and found my light bar to have more spread than the Type X Pro's. That's what lead me to the Supernova's.
