Thanks again guys. Chris good to hear Bluey held up, however for $500 you can't complain too much about Goldy's leak :)

Also thanks BGH for the run around Vineyard this afternoon as well. Looking forward to the vids. I will see what pics I have on my camera.

Look forward to some other outings :D

I have also sent an email to the Bobbin Head office of the NPWS (look after the Marramarra NP) asking how we could get around the locked gate issue. Unfortunately I am not expecting a great response if any at all. Will let you know though.

people have died for less regarding the 500 bucks lol

no worries mate........ i think my idea is a good one as well........ pick pick ring a bell lmao

Behind the locked gates I would suggest, was bloody annoying. Yep it is a good spot for beginners. The guys in the Rangies hung around and went back to the bowl part, while myself, BGH and RKD headed over to Vineyard (nice and close to home for BGH and myself ;) )

there was that one fairly steep incline that BGH and 98GU went up which must have been on one of the tracks half a grid ref south of the quarry??

that would be on a branch track directly south of the quarry and about 300m off the road.

depending on your expertise then yes it has it's limitations. I've been back there a couple of times for a bit of a play and I feel like I've done it to death now. The quarry was fun, but depending on where you're coming from you probably would get better value from the Vineyards. (see tracklisting).

There are a few largish rock steps, some small rubbly inclines, and a vast and confusing network of fire trails, many of which aren't gated off, but other than a few more steps by the pylons aren't much better, only different to the ones in the quarry.

I have a new clutch now so will be back before too long to tackle the rather more (comparatively) sinister climb 98GU & BGH did sometime soon.

Definitely worth checking the area out, but it won't become and old favourite.

Disclaimer, the above is written by a rank newbie, so if it's tame, not my fault :)
