Slotted and Dimpled Rotors Thoughts? FZJ75 1995 Cruiser

Hi Again, I have a 1995 FZJ75 Toyota Land Cruiser and I noticed the rotors are looking a little thin. I used to just get them machined but it doesn’t seem to be worth the time and money along with the fact I think they would be unsafe afterwards. I was having a look around and I saw a set of Slotted and dimpled rotors https://www.onlineautoparts.com.au/products/ZPN-03385 I was just wondering has anyone run these and what are they like? I am on a bit of a budget, so I want to keep cost down. Thanks in advance.

had slotted with dimples but found the dimples trap sand and rocks and would chew out pads fast
i have slotted only now and better wear on the pads with no difference to stopping or over heating.

I have db T2 rotors on my Hilux, they definitely improved the brakes, can actually lock them up now, altho I did an upgrade (bigger discs an calipers) at the same time. And the pads have lasted ages too

Oh, I never thought of that. Yeah, I could see it as a chance for mud and so on to get stuck in there. Thanks I think you just swayed me towards just a standard replacement.

Seems like a common mod that is good for improving braking. I was looking at doing something similar to the ute however I am not financially able to just yet. I will look at this option down the track thanks!

Yeah read somewhere once slotted rotors are best for on road just plain disc if you do a reasonable bit off road. Fitting new pads with new rotors is the go I have RDA Extreme pads on my GQ also used Bendix on other vehicles both brands I found good.
