A mid year crossing maybe as easter is earlier in the year next year I read somewhere.

Takes in the last 2 weeks of term1 unfortunately no good for me the school hols are 11/4/15 26/4/15.

yes mate as shown below, Easter is quite early in 2015, the weather may be some what warmer early April, but still, it was nice during the day on our trip, around the 32 to 36 mark, nice at night though..

Steve, the school holidays you have listed above would work quite well to be honest, gee, it would be great to have two weeks to travel up to and across the Simpson next year.
Looking at your pictures on Facebook made me wish I had taken more time off and travelled with the main group, nest time maybe hey..
the weather would be very much like what we had this trip, if not a bit warmer....

Got a few pics from Annes Ipad thingy tonight, including this one of the track immediately out of Mt Dare to the north, on the side trip to Old Andado.
At this stage we are already in the water / mud looking at the splashes on the front screen
Around the bend there was about the same distance until the muddy scramble out.
I'll have to see what else she's got on there, including videos.

Yeah, I saw a few vids in there, will get some assistance to get onto Youtube.
Amazing how close you got o the top of that tough track on Big Red.
Also saw the vids of you and Shane making it over that second level track, and heard the big BANG as you both crested it airborne at the front !

Allrightie, finished the novel... It is big and lots of pages, it is mainly for ourselves as with my memory in about 10 years it will be a whole new adventure all over..

Great ready Bart, there is some movement towards the last two week of April next years for a return trip, Easter is early in April 2015 but the school holidays are in the last two weeks, so looks like, and if we can muster up a group then it might be on, will keep you posted, okay.
I have made up a book from Office Works with my pictures, its 30 pages and cost $59.00, looks great and the people I have shown it to love it, they say the colours are beautiful, might be a great idea for you guys to do ??.

What about July hols fellas ??
4/7 to 19/7 inclusive.
The weather would be far more predicable then, and flies less in number . . . I think we were pretty lucky with conditions on our recent mid - late April crossing.
I plan to do this as part of a longer tour with a few others that are keen in those dates.
