I love my ryobi, but it aint nothing like that milwaukee. And it aint nothing like a petrol saw either, but for basic campfire wood collection, it is mint.
yeah I can't wait to give it a good test out.
I've found with the pruner(one on the pole ) I rarely pull out my petrol one at home unless I feel like giving it a run.
I expect the new one will be the same for sticking in the back of the paj for camp duties.
If I was going well off road and doing tracks that are likely to have trees down, I'm still likely to stick in the petty one.

i generally carry one or both of these big boys, nothing like 80cc to keep the fire going and the track ahead clear
That's the bomb cc size ! Serious easy cutting power .
I like :)

great saw these makita 7901's best power to weight for its size and great anit vibe/balance. couldnt help but grab the second one when they were on clearance with the new small engine emmision laws coming

will easily pull a 30" bar in hardwood have 20" 2x24" and 30" bars/chains to fit them so isnt much i wont be able to clear off the track if need be

They are good, one of my mates got one .
Though I doubt they are suited to the average knob on the street for use if they don't know what they are doing lol.
I like my 40cc Oleo Mac for carrying in the car . Its a powerhouse with the short bar on small stuff , but I wouldn't play big stuff with it ;)

definetly not a toy for the knobs,

cannot reccomend highly enough that people do a chainsaw operators course, not just the safety side of things but also covers techniques for cutting logs longer than your bar safely and effectively, chain sharpening and saw maintenance

Silky if you can afford it – they are the best. Longer blade. Why do tree surgeons use them? What I use.
Laplander is good and readily available, the blade will bend, but will not shatter. Spares can be purchased. Heavyish. What I let groups/ unskilled use.
Gerber exchange-a-blade saw, very sharp (Silky sharp) blade may shatter if over flexed, similar to Wilkinson’s, comes with two blades, v cheap on flea bay. Lighter. Comes with cover. What I use for rescues whilst canoeing/kayaking.
Hope this helps.
Brian.
