Really not that hard to learn, master maybe just need a little more effort. Numb's right though, once you start catching fish on fly might as well leave the other rods in the shed.

Managed to go fishing a few weeks ago, a very good few days fishing with some wild weather to keep us on our toes, this was one of the nice bucks we got

Little Brown caught after about an hours hike up the Eucumbene river from Denison Campground.
Turned out to be the only one caught for the whole weekend.

Hey mate,

it was in Tassi, subzero temps, 100mm of rain over night lol, so we certainly worked for our fish was one to remember

returned all but one female that went belly up, we didn’t have oil, butter or even salt, we just boiled it on our hiking stove and I must say very nice

I always take some lemons and herbs that I dedicate to fresh trout. Yum.

Usually, the lemons end up in a G&T to use them up.

Sort of pack as little as possible, I think my pack was about 20kg and I was extremely happy with that years past it was pushing 25+

I guess We could treat ourselves to lemon water tea if we dont decide to keep a fish,
