SE P910i Operating TOMTOM & SmartComm GPS / Oziexplorer
We use a Sony Ericsson P910 UIQ mobile combined with a GlobalSat BT338 receiver. Our navigation Software are: TOMTOM mobile (for use within cities / towns) and SmartCom GPS which runs all of the Oziexplorer maps in OGF2 format for the outback. This makes our system Idenical to HEMA Navigator for a fraction of the cost. Oziexplorer which is much like SmartComm GPS would have to be the benchmark in outback GPS navigation.
You can pickup a SonyEricsson P910i with 2GB memory stick for $150.00. The Globalsat 3rd generation receiver for $80.00, Software? well Free off the net and this includes TOMTOM. Maps, well, if you look ye shall find.. at no cost!
