Hi all, just wondering on people experiences if you've been to both. Want to do a 3 week trip at the end of the year to either robe in SA amongst other places on the way or just passed ect OR Fraser Island??

Some good stuff to see and do around Robe but you might struggle to find 3 weeks worth of stuff to do if its warm in SA.

End of the year at Fraser Island is the wet season, can even get cyclones. Yes it may be warmer but it could be raining for a fair bit of the time.
That is if your referring to the QLD destination?

If you want 3 weeks I would go to coffin Bay and Lincoln national Park on the eyre peninsula... Sand, white beaches. No people.

    It will be warm though

Thanks for the responses guys! Looks like robe, Lincoln national Park and coffin Bay might be the go. Went to robe a few months ago but did a wheel bearing early trip and it went from a 4x4 camping trip to a hotel trip with the 4b in the work shop for 4 days so keen to get back and do it properly!

Why not start at Pt Macdonald and work you way to Carpenter's Rocks via the beaches and coastal tracks. Then do Canunda and then into Robe.
It a pretty good run and can be done over 3 - 4 days comfortably, just be sure the tides are in you favor and run tyre pressures around 12-14psi.
Its worth the effort in doing it and opens up more driving potential down the SE coast. We've done it several times now and always enjoyed it, just a thought.
