star link an option?? only works in the southern states and qld. well thats where there are base stations from my research u can be about 500 km away from base station here is a link to https://satellitemap.space/

Starlink plans will set you back $139 per month. You'll also need to pay $709 in hardware fees, and $100 in shipping and handling. If you pre-order, you'll need to put down a fully refundable deposit of $139. The telco notes that putting down a deposit won't necessarily guarantee you a service.

btw they have unlimited data use as well
Starlink have not yet released a mobile (caravan) version of their hardware.
It's promised, but I have yet to be contacted to say it's available.

I've run something like this:
You could use something like this to power it. (I built my own.)
Thanks Mick-marsh, we purchased the above from Austin Computers and will go to jay at for that adaptor

i have a query regarding the aerial, I was looking at an external aerial on the tv aerial and connect to the back, question, how useful is the radio antenna on our vans instead?

I'm making my own 12V to 9V supply to power my van router using this from Jaycar.
