Hello everyone, new owner of a 5 speed manual 05 3.2l NP Pajero 218k km

I'm thinking of getting some work done in the near future but not sure where to go to get it done... Morpowa only does tune and fits exhaust, and willall don't do them at all now. Below is some of what I'm thinking... Already have 2" lift, bull bar, roof rack, awning, 31" tyres, UHF (unsure if works properly though LMAO), also have a hand winch the guy threw in that should go on the bullbar ahah.

Thinking of getting some work done soon to increase reliability/longevity and some performance while I'm at it...

I'm just wondering what you guys would recommend to get done first, will be getting an exhaust, as the cat have a hole in it, so just going to get turbo back and oil catch can at the least.

Also an EGR delete module (Electronically shuts it off) and clean for the buildup.

I'd also like to get some gauges for EGT, boost setup. Thinking pillar pods and maybe digital ones like these https://www.autobox.com.au/pillar-po...C8djJ6UtKUuADY

If you have any recommendations or can tell me more about these for my NP Pajero and get an estimate in price for all of the above, that would be awesome!

P.S Exhaust recommendations would also be great, but not wanting to spend big bucks on the exhaust ahah. Thinking Scott's Rodds. Should i get the one with or without a cat? https://www.scottsrods.com.au/produc...pnmdid32r-409/

Have your UHF unit tested or just buy one that you know 100% works...{it could potentially be a lifeline}

Throw the hand winch to the shitter ( o maybe keep it in the rear as a backup) if your bulbar is winch compatible and install a 9500lb one....

Locker maybe, not much chop in sand I’m told as your in S.A...

Goodluck ...

Cheers mate, any recommendation on which winch to grab? Bullbar is compatible with them. Here's a pic also have a huge ass white antenna, but doesn't fit in my shed lol :)

Ive been really happy with my Domin8r-X winch from 4wd supacentre... The usual 4wd Supacentre warnings apply: crap customer service if you have any issues, questionable QA/QC, etc etc.. But so far (~2 years, given it a pretty good workout in that time on my triton) haven't had any problems with it.

I would get the exhaust done, a snorkel, find out if the intercooler is adequate or needs upgrading then get it tuned by a good diesel mechanic who knows how to control egr temps. But you need to find out what a safe boost pressure is for your engine and if the running gear can cope with the extra power or it will become unreliable and start breaking cv's etc the you'll put in heavy duty ones and brake something more expensive. I dont see the use in a water/meth kit for a 4wd unless your racing it keep it simple and keep it safe and spend the money on something useful like a fridge etc.

Thanks guys, given me some things to think about! Think the first will be exhaust, snorkel and EGR off module, bigger intercooler + relocation to the front where it isn't so restricted sounds like it has some good improvements too. I think you're right about the water/meth kit too ahah.

Boost pressure wise, I think it restricts it to 21PSI where it goes into limp mode. Stock I think they are around 17 PSI or so from what others have said.

Does anyone have any recommendations for where to go to directly tune the ECU around Adelaide? Morpowa can do it I think, want $1,500 though.

Powertech tuning said they only do it with a chip and do it that way... I said that you can tune it direct with alientech stuff, this was their response -

"We do have Alientech and can bench the ECU’s but we choose not to as they can be troublesome esp with the costs involved in the fuel pump etc. That’s why we would use a unichip in this instance."

I don't get this as either way you're increasing power and torque and fuel pump output if you add more fuel... Any insight as to what they are trying to say? Or are they just trying to sell me the unichip?
