Could make a base from the Kevington pub, and do trips from there.
Or Kevington pub maybe later in july when there may be some snow around.
You can stay in the pub for $35 per night per person, or camp for $5 per person,
The pub would be a warm place to eat and have a drink, and good for those that shower.

Kevington sounds good to us, we like our creature comforts as much as getting out amongst it.

Pubs, hot showers, woosies.....

I might be in too! For a July/August trip though.

The long w/e I would be looking at taking an extra day or two, prob the friday, and doing a rolling
camp. Maybe up via Buchan, across the Snowy, even hitting the Deddick. Have been wanting to check
out Moscow Villa hut for a while too. Will have a look at the map in the next few days and have more
suggestions(stick in a good book at the moment).

Are people willing to do a rolling, or are more interested in a base set up with a day trip or two?
Have also considered Talbotville, but may be a bit busy, Eaglevale too -as long we are well away
from 'the spiders'-they are making me reconsider my sleeping arrangements!
(who sounds the bloody woosie now):(:p

Another spot I want to get too is the Gap pub up near Woods Point. Have heard it's
pretty pricey to stay the night though:cool:

Almost count me in for this one Jok. I think Mezz and the kids might want to come too so don't make it just a boys weekend. Or you could and i'll just tell her it will be too steep and bouncy for her prego guts!!:D:D:eek: I think you should start a new thread Mr Organisational Man and see how you go. Count me in for now..

Keep me away from those bloody spiders though, they hurt when they bite!!:eek:

Maybe there should be two trips planned. "Rolling Camp" and "Base camp".
Those with the family (kids etc.) find it hard to pack up and set up everyday. Chews up a lot of precious 4WDing time. Also keeps the arguing with the misses down to a minimum.
Love to get away, but have to wait and see.

Sounds like a good one, Count me in! Rolling or Base camp I'm easy
(Or that's what they say!). Haven't done Blue rag yet and it's on the "too do list"

Kevington pub has been fully booked out and only camp ground left but will have a fire out back to sit around or sit in pub

Leave Kevington to a snow weekend in a couple of months.
we need three weeks at least to book rooms.
