Land anchors are all good and well, but ya better have a wireless remote or a helper if ya need to use it. Even using one properly with a wireless remote will be difficult as it can be a bit of hard work making the anchor bite the ground rather than just digging you a furrow

Food for thought

As for the ebay Tigerz anchor, in a harder packed ground or a hard pull in sand that looks like it would be almost impossible to get any depth into the ground, theres a reason the proper ones have a solid rigid body

i hear what ya saying Matt and i agree that they would be pointless on hard ground even with an extra person. When i hit the tracks i alway take my maddock with me incase i need to hack into some hard ground and i have also had to dig a hole in the sand on the beach before throw my spare in the hole hook up the winch to it cover it over with sand just to unberrie the 4wd lol not much fun in the middle of summer thats for sure.

Don't get me wrong I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it LOL
One thing that a lot of people don't think of is digging small trench (even in hard ground) to help the anchor start, personally that's what I would do if I needed to use one in hard ground, it might even help keep it's self up right
