I did actually see from another previous post that there is a device that actually fits over the star pickets mentioned so that was an interesting idea.
The skid under the camper trailer jockey wheel is also a great idea. I think i will put some thought into that immediately. Thanks for that. I have actually had that argument about pulling the camper out separate but kept comming back to the jockey wheel being buried or broken off. Guess thats what i get for arguing with myself huh
I also give the star pickets some thought however the last time i was bogged was in the Simpson in the middle of Lake Poppel. It took about 5 hours to get out and i was using a large dainforth anchor. I must have winched 40 times to get out so i keep imagining having to pull the pickets out of the groung that many times.
So I guess my main reason for the Portable Rescue Tree was that it folds up quite compact and it "apparently" from the many Malcom Douglas demo's pulls out of the ground easily ready for another grab if required. I just wished I knew someone who had one to try out. It is something that, like my winch may never get used BUT, the Simpson is a pretty remote place so i guess $500 could save a life or 2. I just gotta find someone who can possibly sell me one.
