Bahaha, asks a specific question and gets three unrelated replies. This place is getting as silly as Facebook
Gotta agree... We all don't have the same needs, etc and for some the Ozito will be fine. I've had one of their older version for years now and it is still going well but at some point I will need to replace it.
The only complaint I have with it is u cannot leave bar oil in the reservoir when storing it as it just leaks out every time. Also, I better chain I heard will also make a big improvement to its performance

i have run a ryobi 18v brushless chainsaw for years . It's freaken awesome . i run with two 5ah batteries and a 12v car charger . One battery will do enough firewood for a big fire for the night. Chains last quite a while and a replacement chain from bunnings is only about $25 . For camping duties i can't ever saw i have thought "gee i wish i still had a noisy ,smelly petrol saw with me"

It would be good if you can get your hands on an EGO 56v chainsaw for a review. I recently bought one of their blowers with a 5A/H battery and the thing is freakin awesome. I've only heard good things about their 56V chainsaw, no personal experience with it though.
I've had one for a few years got it from Masters when they were going out of business. I don't use it much only when I go camping and I know I'm allowed to use it.
I was on my son's property camping a few weeks back and I was cutting through 15cm logs with no issues for firewood.
I like the ego range and I have the mower, brush cutter, blower, chainsaw and hedge trimmer.

Yep, I bought one a while back and love it, craps all over the old Ryobi 18v I had. I went with the CS1800E with 450mm bar as it has a brushless DC motor, the 350mm chainsaw gets a bit of a bad rap. I also have some of the other EGO gear, (Blower,Mower,Brush Cutter) Pretty happy with it so far, though I noticed on the weekend my mowers self drive is playing up, not sure what the issue is there yet.

Have you had problems with Ozito gear breaking down in the past.
Whats the term?
Buy once cry once.

Bought one of their drill once & the thing was ok, just but just out of 12 month warranty period the battery gave out.

From the OP "Ozito shot me out their 36v variant of the same saw using the same batteries"
So a sponsored vid then?
Bias or unbias?

Personally I just think the brand is cheap & nasty & you get what you pay for so I am happy in this case to spend a bit more on a proper/bigger name brand because they are repeatable in their longevity.
Fine if you have not a lot of coin to spend at the time but expect to put your hand in you pocket again.

I still carry my little petrol Husky 236 on trips for clearing tracks & fire wood etc, had it for about 10 years but will upgrade one day as the whole battery thing is just easier not having to carry fuel.
I hadn't actually used it for 3 years due to covid & not travelling & was just sitting in the garage until I went away recently, same fuel that was in it from 3 years ago, one pull with the choke out, put the choke back in & 2 strokes later started & then cut 3 days worth of wood for the camp in one go.....the thing is a little beast!

At the end of the day anything will cut when its new, what about 2-5 years later??
Its not something you want keep having to buy.

Just my 2c.

In usual Earth tradition in taking things off thread this is my little 236 enviro unfriendly PETROL saw that has never done me wrong from day one.

And on day one visiting a property I trialled it by cutting myself a swiss fire log & boiling the billy & later cooked dinner on it as well.

Sure now its more eco friendly to go battery operated, charged by coal fired power stations(who here actually knows where their power is coming from)??

I love the smell of petrol in the late afternoon :p

But I don't want to carry petrol in our dustproof, airtight camper. Happy to charge the EGO saw battery off the solar panel.
