G'day all as you can all tell im new to the site not sure if ive posted in the rite spot but i guess ill find out.
At the moment i own a SWB Mav.(duel fuel) dont do much 4WDing except for some off road tracks. The Mav. is mostly used as a tow car, Fishing, Camping, Shooting, Bow hunting, dirt bike riding anything that gets me outdoors basicly.
Recently me and the misses are thinking of upgrading ive been looking around driving different cars, want something in a duel cab ute.
Ive driven a ST-X Navara, SR5 Hilux, GLX-R Triton but they all drive great on the road i want to know what they are like off it... Good and bad points of each. Any help would be excellent.
Cheers Mick

the Toyota trd hilux has exelent off road capabilities the supercharger realy helps when you need that up and go. and that extra power behind the wheel when towing stuff. but the normal hilux is just as good. :):D:):D

I've heard all sorts of issues with the Navara doing in radiator fans/radiators/motors due to the front setup not being strong enough. They crumple at the slightest belt on the bash plate and force the radiator into the fan.
I have recently bought a Triton and only took that over the Hilux due to rear seat room (and $10K spare change).:D The Triton is way bigger in the back. Both very capable cars offroad though. With the bigger rear area though, there is a trade off with tub space. This wasn't an issue for me as the Triton's tub with canopy still holds more than the back of the old 60 series.
If you're doing lots of towing, go the diesel. The commonrail diesels nowadays have plenty of poke and torque as well. The Triton petrol doesn't compare too favourably to the hilux petrol in my opinion.

Go the Triton. The Hi Lux's downfall is the weak front diff. I've seen a Triton given all sorts of punishment.

Ive been leaning towards the triton due to the rear seat space, as stated above. Which ever i end up with it will be a turbo diesel regardless. Any thoughts about the Rodeo or Colorado? havnt driven one yet thought i would get some opinions first, see if its worht the time or not.
Thanks for the feed back guys keep it coming.
