It's like most trips particularly when there is a lot of water around we will have to see when it gets closer.

Yeah Global Warming and all that, wettest out there I have seen for a while Outback SA & NSW Roads have been Opening & Closing more than a lady's legs at a Madams house.

The whole Country is wet & grèen - spent two days recovering a Mate out of mud on the Connie Sue in July (I got bogged twice on the Gary).
Most of the tracks South of Omeo are OK & were not on a "Cooks" Tour.

At the risk of taking this thread OT and being chastised I'd be keen to hear if there was much spinifex about as when we went through the Talawana & Gary we were stopping every half hour to clear it out

i see that tom groggin is closed - i was thinking of going that way to the meet even if not a direct route

IIRC Tom Groggin is one of those that are always checked for opening only for the end of Nov.
Any case, I've been up north of Omeo as a PV volunteer clearing tracks and there's a lot of water around. Tree falls were fewer than we feared though.
