Yeah sometimes it was surprising. He'd be upset when we were driving and wouldn't sleep for a few hours and as soon as we hit the rougher sections he'd doze off to sleep within a couple of minutes

Yeah I'm out guys. Sadly. So someone may have to step up and lead this show.
Sucks that work has got in the way.
And I sort of feel bad that few people are now in lingo, imagine having to work for a living.

All good @Gavo just wasn't sure what was happening, works a pain but hey some one has to do it

Since I pretty much missed 90% of last years run due to owning a jeep, i'd be keen to replicate some of last years tracks, or at least the start of the run would be the same as last years plan. Anyone that did last years run, could you give me a bit of feedback on the following tracks.

1) Saturday night, Mckillops Bridge camp
2) Sunday, Deddick Track to Jacksons crossing camp
3) Monday, Jacksons crossing, through Buchan and Ensay, up to Omeo for restock if required, back down to Marthavale Hut Camp
4) Tuesday, Through Dargo and Billy Goats Bluff, camp at Arbuckle Gorge.
5) Wednesday, Caledonia River Track, Howitts plain, King Billy, camp at Lovicks Hut.
6) Thursday, through Eight Mile Gap and into Sheepyard Flat Camp

I'd have no issues with this since it's already planned.

No dramas. For anyone still interested I've got the time off so I'll still be going. It'll just depend on who else goes will depend on what tracks I decide to tackle.

I won't know if I can have the time off until the end of next week, but I'm still trying to make it happen.
I'll post up what my plans are either way.

hay guys an gals just wondering if there was any kids going, im trying to convince the misses to come along and she wants to know if there'll be any others for our kids to hang out with
cheers
Scottie, @1 red gu ,you should know that any 4X4Earth trip is a family trip.;) There will be plenty of kids when you get there.
One way or the other I am going to the Vic Annual (On my own is not a problem) , but I would prefer to head down with the NSW Crew the adventurous way, which way I don't care - I have to be honest, I am not a mad fan of going down there with Trailers the hard way.

Have you considered from talbotville into wonnangatta, up zeka spur to howitt rd / hut, the start of calidonia is just south of howitt hut.
Have been down zeka spur bur never up it, would be a decent challenge in some sections.

Just a thought.
Brian if your "Game" I will go with you.
You could be the new NSW Trip organizer.:D (I have been down Zeka 14 years ago but not up.)

Gee its tempting Bill but i'll be arriving from the Mansfield side and given my very limited timeframe i can't see myself making it to Dargo to head to the meet from that side.

Hope you can hook up with a couple of new south welshmen to give it a crack mate, would love to hear how you went once we're there.

Well I finally got my roster, and unfortunately there's no way for me make this trip work.
Next year perhaps.

There are a few of the NSW regulars are missing this year so I have a feeling that next year's could be "huge".
I hope so.
I'm planning on working a couple of extra public holidays over the next twelve months that I can cash in for the time off. So my odds for making next year will be much higher than they were this year.

I will need to ensure all my overseas commitments next year are scheduled around the trip next year!

I might make the trip next year... So long we don't have to listen to Dickie hogging the airwaves all the time...
