yes its a great site i use it all the time
i mainly rely on forestry maps there old but good for exploring for history, mines etc
GET OUT GET ABOUT 4WD
4WDRIVING, EXPLORING, FOSSICKING AND CAMPING

SIX Maps

Allows you to search by locality, and then to go down to a topo map or the street map and overlay them over the aerial pics.

Can also print off pdf files or paper copies of the area you want.

All: State forest facilities & activities | NSW Department of Primary Industries

Simply click on the above link and select your requirements IE: 4WD access, Camping, Toilets etc..... then hit search.
The lists are for NSW only.
There is some 53 state forests listed in NSW that have or allow 4WD access.

This is where I get my maps from not all state forests are available but there are a few.... need access to a large copiers or maybe A3 or I just downloaded a few maps of my area to my tablet that way there's no need to carry large maps around...scroll down the page for the list of state forests
