Yeah first weekend in school holidays it turns out. I was unaware until I got there.

Always pays to check when the rug rats aren’t at school, I avoid all school and public holidays like the plague

Been caught there before. All the prices increase when the school holidays are on too! It pays to check all the other states as well to make sure your not inundated by others with their kids.

Kids are like farts, your own are ok and often amusing but other people’s are annoying and disgusting

The mid-north beaches are great for camping and some relaxed 4x4 driving - Delicate Nobby even allows you to bring your dog! Lots of easy walking tracks too, the tracks at Diamond Head (Crowdy Bay NP) and Perpendicular Head (Kattang NR) are my favourites!
