Craigs hut is a fair way from talbotville, would want to enter from Mansfield way if you wanted to visit it.

Mansfield to Craigs Hut is 2WD (If it doesn't rain).
I can give you a GPS track OR if you have an Android phone use "Voice Search" App & say "Navigate to Craigs Hut" & Google will take you there.

No problems at all. We intend going to Craig's Hut during our time down there.

The camps along Haunted Stream are fairly small. Wouldn't fit a group like we usually have on these trips. If you complete the whole track in a day then Marthavale Hut - I think it burned down - would fit the group.

We will see how many this year - I haven't driven the Haunted Stream yet & would love to do it.
@Toddyh , you could put that down as another track you showed me that I haven't done.

From Haunted stream track its not to far from the Dargo river campsites just up jones rd . Haunted stream is not a big drive 2-3hrs max even with a fair sized convoy .

Well Lisa and I intend leaving Brisbane on 9th. It's our intention to pick up splitpin st moss vale around the 10th or 11th and head to thredbo. We want to hike to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko. From there we thought across the Murray and up pinnabar to wheeler's creek but nothing after that. I would like to show her Wallace's Hut. Afterwards probably into Wonnangatta the up towards Craig's hut etc.

I went to that crossing on the Murray a couple of weeks back and there was a sign saying it was going to be closed for most of October or there abouts due to Aerial Deer shooting program so might be worth checking if its open.

OK, so we have just over a Month now until we have to leave for the Vic Gathering so how about we start gathering a few names of who are interested.
So @Wang , you have the first post how about you putting the names on the first post - you can add Olga & I of course. (I don't care who leads)
We can then discuss which way down & for a few of us which way back. Some time I would like to do the Haunted Stream before I get "Old", but even if we head down the tracks we have done before its fine with me as long is its not down the black top unless I have to.
@richardlnsw 's idea sounds good.
