My plans have had to change again. I got so excited when the railway told me I was off, that I forgot to check with my other employer. Turns out I actually have to work Sunday the 12th, so I'll be leaving St Marys some time that afternoon/evening, and expect to get to camp (or start looking for it) some time after midnight.

As for the return trip, I'm good right up till the Thursday, as Jen's work commitments will prevent her from coming at all.

Sort of the norm to wake up and find you've rolled up while I was snoring it up:)

We will work out our Saturday camp and let you know for sure as it gets closer but more than likely it will be Geehi Flats.

So with only 6 weeks to go I thought I would just post a reminder.
There is a few of us doing the Mt Kosciuszko summit walk on Saturday 11th November before we start our adventure to the Vic meet up at O'Tooles.
We will be camping at Thredbo Diggings on Friday 10th. Then on the Saturday the plan is to meet in Thredbo Village between 9 and 9.30. As it takes around 5 to 6 hours return we will need to start this early so we can then move on to camp for that night. The Saturday camp is planned for Geehi Flats. Then on the Sunday we will head back and meet Bugsy and the rest of the crew at Tom Groggin. This will give us a chance to check the crossing!!!
As our Friday and Saturday camps are in the National Park it is $17 per 24 hour period per vehicle.
Also, the chair lift from Thredbo Village to top station is $37 return per adult and $74 per family. Just giving everyone a heads up before we get there:D
Really looking forward to this trip......

It can be done quicker Wang. Think me and another returned in 50 minutes, we didn't want to miss the chair lift down as it was close to its closing time hehe. We were power walking though...and jogging at times too. Got to the lift with about 10 minutes to spare.

The family that was at the summit the same time we were there though, I doubt they got back in time.

Trying hard to make it down for my first vic gathering (and been too many months without touching that small stubby stick)
I'm in the same boat as Mr Rum, leaving Syd on the 12th and trying to tee up with the main party, Will bring plenty of firewood as per usual :)

Road access back to sydney from O'Tooles isn't too bad aye? Gmaps says 8-9hrs back to sydney, that accurate? Aiming to leave for syd on sat 19th

That would be about right. And don't worry about the firewood.... we always find plenty.
Be good to catch up with you again.:)

The snow at perisher is melting fast so here's hoping mt pinnibar will be open for us and the river crossing won't be crazy deep with snow melt.
Fingers crossed
