Will there be any ladies joining along on the trip this year?
Olga will be coming along with me this year.
And like @Toddyh , beware what you ask for!

Richard any idea on what time you'll be heading up the lift at threaders we might head up and just walk as far as the kids will let us them turn back

The lift starts around 9 and usually like to be on it not much after that. That's why I camp at The Diggings as it's close to Thredbo and it then gives us enough time to get back down and get to camp for that night. You can walk to the Lookout which isn't too far, get a view of the summit and then go back. It isn't a hard walk, there is boardwalk all the way and if they can go further they should get to see snow (or ice). How old are the tackers?

They are 8 an 4 yeah they will walk for a bit but but shore if they'll make it the whole way
Cheers mate 9am sounds good we'll be in a hotel so we won't have to pack up camp early to get there.

I'm in. I'll be in Melbourne on the Friday before but may meet up for the Saturday just gotta get the missus and toddler into a flight at some point. Unless I decide to come for the slow trip home which means I may be coming with 2 kids........ nothing like a 2 and a 4 year old to really give you a relaxing time in the bush. On seconds thoughts might just bring the 4 year old.

Bugsy we still booking a cabin for the kids?

Matty and Jenna had their toddler last year on the slow trip home, think he was 3? but it wasn't a problem at all.
